INTRODUCTION

I am Natália Presztolánszky, I was born in the city of Zirc, in 1974.

    The world of taking photographs really impressed me arou

nd 2004. Although to tell you the truth, I was always interested in some way of creating pictures.

    When I was younger, I often

painted with oil first, later with acrile paint. I have not given up this good habit yet. 

     I am most impressed by the human face, like the individualized, two-dimension expression of each soul, on paper. This was the challenge that I never learnt really, I rather tried to catch the vanishing moments of life, all that is transitory.

    Also thanks to my eagerness, I always wanted to make pictures quicker than ever before. This was the time when I started to use the camera – for ever, I think – more and more often.

     By now I regret that I did not get to know earlier this wonderful instrument. When I travelled somewhere, I always had a small compact camera (with film) with me, and I made all efforts to catch as many moments as possible. This resulted in enormous volume of common tourist photos. This was not acceptable  - for me.

     And it was not acceptable for those who saw my pictures, I think.

    Later, when I first received my first analogue camera with changeable objective from my husband, I started to realize what I really missed before. I got much more tools,  my pictures had mysterious deep clearness etc. During an excursion in Rome I realized that I address some people with characteristic face, one after the other so that I could be a soul robber for a moment.

       I still did not give up painting, and furthermore I got more and more interested in the world of digital drawing, retouching, therefore I started to deal with them more and more. Well, you have to be up-to-datel!!  This is my opinion.

       This was the time when I got my first digital bridge camera. It was a great step forward for me, I could check my photos immediately. And I dared to try different modes what would have been too risky before, as I did not want to waste films. This great exploration was a break-through. As these activities were based on self-training methods, my teachers were the user guide of my camera, a few magazines in the subject, and the pictures of many excellent photographers.

    As I was more involved in the digital world, I had to see how small is the boundary between painting and taking photographs.

    I think that all what is „picture experience” started like this. Like my works of art, which make my life more and more complete.
